1. Scope
This website is operated by GiftedTales. By visiting our website or purchasing from us, you engage in our "Service" and agree to the following terms.
2. Pricing and Payment
All prices are shown in Euros, inclusive of applicable VAT. Payment is processed securely via the payment methods offered at checkout.
3. Shipping and Delivery
Orders for physical items are processed within 1–3 business days. Since our personalized books are individually made, production times may occasionally extend during periods of high demand. Digital products are delivered instantly via a download link sent to the email address provided at checkout.
Shipping cost: €6.99 flat rate, free on orders of €50 or more.
Estimated delivery times: Belgium 2–4 business days · EU 3–7 business days. For deliveries outside the EU, the customer is responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees.
If your book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, please contact us promptly at contact@giftedtales.eu with photo evidence, and we will arrange a replacement in accordance with EU consumer protection law.
4. Right of Withdrawal, Returns and Refunds
EU consumers generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of physical goods within 14 days without giving a reason. However, because our books are custom-made and personalized, this right is excluded under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Personalized orders cannot be returned or refunded unless defective. By starting a digital download, you expressly waive your 14-day right of withdrawal.
Regardless of the above: for defective or damaged books (missing/misprinted pages, printing errors, binding defects, transit damage, wrong title), we offer a full return, exchange, or refund within 30 days of receipt.
Not eligible for return: digital downloads once accessed, non-defective personalized books, gift cards,discounted/clearance items.
How to start a return: contact us at contact@giftedtales.eu with your order number, reason, and photo evidence. Once approved, you'll receive shipping instructions. Return address: GiftedTales, Paasbloemstraat 14, 2170 Antwerpen,Belgium. Unannounced returns cannot be accepted.
Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, unless the error is on our end, in which case we cover the cost.
5. Artificial Intelligence and Generated Content
In accordance with the EU AI Act, you acknowledge that our personalized illustrations and storybooks are created using generative AI systems.
6. Photo Uploads and Usage Rights
By uploading a photo for personalization, you confirm you are its rightful owner or have the consent of the legal guardian of any minor pictured. Creating deepfakes, misleading content, or content that infringes third-party rights isprohibited; we reserve the right to decline such orders.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the website (text, graphics, logos, digital downloads) is the property of GiftedTales. You may notcommercially redistribute, modify, or resell digital files or physical books.
8. Liability
We do not guarantee that use of our Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by EU law,GiftedTales is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We are responsible for our own content on this website under general law but do not warrant its absolute accuracy.
